As
a former aerospace engineer, I am obsessed with the technical aspects
of my work, like the secret compartments I sometimes include, or the way
some pieces are designed and laid out. The challenge of creating the physiology
of an animal and then investing it with a personality beyond the often-idealized
"noble beast" is the inspiration behind my work. My sculptures
can be found in Jungle Drums Gallery in Florida, Out of Hand Gallery in
Scottsdale Arizona, as well as the collection of Joan Embry, and the new
mammal wing of the Smithsonian. |
